A frontier in Australia's soul revolution, The NEO are the best kept secret of the wild North. 10 years ago, a naked millennium celebration spawned an irrepressible new band. Mixing soul, funk, ska, blues and rock, with elements of cabaret and circus, The NEO is a full-power, soul-fuel musical experience. The NEO have been working hard in 2011 recording a massive, and much anticipated new album, with a first single to be released in early 2012. 2010 saw the band’s return to the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in Byron Bay as part of their huge Playmode Tour, which included shows in the Adelaide Fringe, Darwin, the East Coast and the Snowy Mountains. In 2008 The NEO gave four super-charged performances at the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland, and in 2007 The NEO set the stage alight at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, Byron Bay. Across Australia they are mobilising audiences to the dance floor.
